It’s the weekend and I got a chance to watch the newly released Netflix series, ‘The Sound of Magic’. The series was actually based on the Naver webtoon Annasumanara by Ha Ik-won with 6 episodes. The casts of the drama were Ji Chang Wook, Choi Sung-eun, and Hwang In-yeop.

Story of the Sound of Magic

The Sound of Magic [안나라수마나라] revolves around Yoon Ah-Yi, a struggling student who attends Sewoon High School. Her father ran away due to debts so she manage to finance her and her younger sister’s needs by doing part-time jobs.

Lee Eul is a mysterious magician who lives in an abandoned theme park. He always asked other people the words ‘Do you believe in magic?

Na Il-deung came from a wealthy family but has a cold heart. He used to compete with Ah-yi when it comes to studies but later asked her to have lower test results in an exchange for money. After sneaking and listening to Lee Eul and Yoon Ah-yi’s magic lessons he got interested and wanted to learn magic too.

6 Must-Visit Filming Locations of The Sound of Magic

Sorry for spoiling the story of the series but this time I want you to travel with me and check out the 7 must-visit filming locations of The Sound of Magic.

1. Ihwa Mural Village

Ihwa Mural Village was featured so many times from episodes 1 to 6 and well we all know that this place was home to many Korean dramas just like Encounter. In episode 1, the scene was filmed on the stairs going to Cafe Gaeppul where Ah-yi was heading home from her part-time. In episode 2, it was the same place where a butterfly lightens the street lights to protect Ah-yi on her way home.

Ihwa Mural Village is one of the most visited attractions for tourists and even locals. It’s a hillside in the city where you can see murals painted by more than 70 artists and a beautiful view of Seoul. Located in Ihwa-dong, Jongno-district near Naksan Park and Daehakno.
