Secret Blue Cafe | Psycho But It’s Okay Filming Location

Sharing is caring!

Secret Blue Garden at Gangwondo is Psycho But It’s Okay’s Filming Location. The ‘Ok Hospital or 괜찮은병’ is actually not a hospital but a cafe. Really?

This year tvN released this drama that talks about a different kind of fairy tale. That fairy tale is contradictory to what we have grown up with.

Psycho But It’s Okay (사이코지만 괜찮아) or It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is the comeback drama of Kim Soo Hyun after his hit drama My Love from the Stars 5 years ago. It took him 5 years to come back on the screen because he served his military service for 2 years. While Seo Ye-ji‘s last drama was in 2018, the Lawless Lawyer.

Synopsis

Psycho But It’s Okay (사이코지만 괜찮아) or It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is a new romantic Korean drama that revolves around Kim Soo Hyun who plays Moon Kang Tae, a caregiver who works in a psychiatric ward. While Seo Ye-ji as Ko Moon Young is a famous writer of children’s books.

The story is about how they will heal both their emotions and psychological issues when one doesn’t believe in love and the other knows nothing about love.

Going to the Cafe

Last July 26, we went to Gangwondo to visit one of the main filming locations of the Korean drama Psycho But It’s Okay. It’s like two and a half hours drive from our house in Seoul and took us about four hours going back home due to heavy traffic from Yangpyeong to Seoul.

I was asking my husband to drive me there but he kept on refusing because it was raining badly that week. But that Sunday, the weather was fine and he told me we were going to the place that I was talking about. I took the chance to prepare as fast as I can before he changed his mind.

We left at home at 10:30 am and we arrived around 1:15 pm. During travels, I used to fall asleep but even though I felt very sleepy, I tried not to sleep. I need to be awake for the sake of my husband who’s driving me just to reach this place.

So we arrived already. I took the chance to take some photos and videos from the cafe. When I saw it in the drama I really thought it was a hospital but in real life, it is a cafe. The drama only uses the outside and entrance of the cafe and about two rooms which are the hospital canteen and the one it’s like a waiting room something.

Secret Blue Cafe (시크릿 블루 베이커리 카페)

Secret Blue Cafe is located in Ayajin, Goseong at Gangwondo. At first, I thought there will be few visitors but I was surprised that there’s a lot of visitors that day. Plus the cafe is just a few steps away from Ayajin Beach that’s why.

Another thing why I wanted to visit this place is the beach. The view from the cafe is very relaxing and it’s really a great place for someone who wants a quiet place. There’s a stair going to the beach so we went down to let my son play.

If you haven’t Psycho But It’s Okay (사이코지만 괜찮아) or It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, catch it on tvN every 9 pm, Saturdays and Sundays or on Netflix. I also wrote the 10 Life Lessons from Psycho But It’s Okay, check it out.

    1. They didn’t change anything. Except for adding the name of the hospital from the drama. There’s a video link included at the article you can watch it.

  9. I’m not a kdrama fan but my sister is and I think she’s mentioned Psycho but It’s Okay once. Secret Blue Cafe has this peaceful and pleasant vibe going on and I like that they’ve used glass windows – I’m a nature lover so I appreciate looking at nature. And another props for it being near the beach.
