Don’t you wish that vintage looks like Jang Man-wol (IU) in Hotel del Luna? Well, look no further. There’s a shop in the downtown of Seoul which provides rental of vintage clothing called “Kyungsung Clothes”.

These days Hotel del Luna got the viewer’s attention because it’s a spooky romance story. It’s like the Korean drama Goblin but with opposite situations of the leading actors and actresses.
Hotel del Luna’s story is about Jang Man-wol (IU), the owner of the Hotel del Luna, a place for spirits who have just died which they can stay for a while before going to the other world. Jang Man-wol was cursed to live forever, so she ended up hiring Goo Chan-sung (Yeo Jin-goo) to help her manage the hotel where she gave him a gift on this birthday with the ability to see and communicate with spirits.
Aside from the story, for the past 1000 years, Jang Man-wol has developed her vintage fashion statement which made the fans wait for it per episode.
Kyungsung Clothes
Aside from hanbok, retro or vintage clothing rental experience become popular in Korea. The rental shop offers vintage clothes, accessories, and a backdrop. This time they have the Hotel del Luna backdrop where you can able to experience the drama’s location and Jang Man-wol feels.
Kyungsung Clothes is located in the neighborhood of Jong-no district in the city of Seoul. There are two outlets which are not far from each other but with different backdrops which you need to choose where you want to go. Minimum of 3 hours for 30,000 won and there are so many pretty dresses you can choose from and with complete accessories such as gloves, hair clip, hat, umbrella, bag, etc and for shoes, there’s an additional charge of 3,000 won.

Kyungsung Clothes Rental Guide
1. Tell your name to the staff at the front desk upon arrival to check your reservation.
2. The staff will give you a bag with a bag number to keep your belongings.
3. You can choose 2 sets of designs and try them on in the fitting room.
TIP: Check their Instagram account for available designs for you to know what you want to wear.
4. After putting on the clothes that look good to you, choose your accessories.
5. After choosing the accessories, there’s an available room where you can fix your hair. (They provide hair iron, combs, hairpins, and hair rubber bands)
6. If you are all ready, sign the paper (Returning Sheet) that they will give you and give your payment.
7. Return before the given time, and give back the accessories you wore and change your clothes and return the clothes and shoes you rented to the staff.

You can also visit Hotel Del Luna’s filming location Hotel Seinejang Cafe which is also near the rental shop.
NOTE:
Time is counting based on the payment time and you can ONLY use the photo zone after payment.
A penalty of 10,000 won /hour for the exceeding time.

Conclusion
If you are looking for something new aside from wearing a hanbok in Seoul, I recommend this vintage clothing rental shop for a change. It’s nice to walk in the alleys of Ikseon in this kind of clothes. It might be expensive but it won’t erase the photos and memories you can make once in a lifetime. Plus experiencing the Jang Man-wol fashion statement is priceless.Β If you are visiting Seoul, include this in your itinerary because the cafe near this rental shop is Hotel Seine Cafe, one of the filming locations of Hotel Del Luna.
