The ongoing hit K-drama #ExtraordinaryAttorneyWoo collaborated with Yartists to create a beautiful mural at Seongsudong, Seoul.
These days #ExtraordinaryAttorneyWoo is the new Korean drama sensation all over the world. It has been translated into 10 different languages and trying to support 31 more and now currently airing on Netflix. The drama also remains number 1 in the top 10 tv shows in Korea these days.
#ExtraordinaryAttorneyWoo [์ด์ํ ๋ณํธ์ฌ ์ฐ์์ฐ] is a story of a young lawyer who has Asperger’s syndrome. Woo Young Woo and the young man from the short-series Move to Heaven have the same form of autism disorder. She has a high IQ, an impressive memory, and a wonderfully creative thought process, but she struggles with everyday and social interactions.
Due to the new and refreshing storyline of the drama and the eye-opening to everyone about the sensitive topic of autism. Also, if you have watched the K-drama ‘Our Blues’ there’s also an episode that talks about autism. Lately, Korean dramas are taking and giving us more realistic and educational storylines.
Anyway, since I’ve been hooked on the drama I tried to visit the #ExtraordinaryAttorneyWoo mural at Seongsudong, Seoul. I’ll share with you the very cheerful and brilliant works of the Yartists Jeong Da-Eun, Yoo Bo-ra, and Cรฉz.
#ExtraordinaryAttorneyWoo Mural
A new K-drama Seoul attraction has been created thru a mural that can be found at Cafe Street in Seounsudong. Let’s see the works of the artists whom ENA Channel collaborated with.
Artist Jeong Da-Eun’s work
Daeun Jeong is a painter and illustration artist based on oriental paintings. She draw the world she saw with simple lines and warm colors.
As a KT Y artist, she participated in the illustration work for the main ending of the ENA Wed-Thu drama <Extraordinary Attorney Woo>. She used her imagination to create the image of the world that Woo Young woo encountered.
Artist Yoo Bo-ra’s work
This mural art was made by the artist Yoo Bo-ra. She painted Woo Young Woo riding a big blueish whale. I love how she created Young Woo’s fascination with whales. You can tell exactly the story of the mural art when you look at it.
Artist Cรฉz’s work
Artist Cรฉz’s work is something cute for me. A purple whale with little Young Woo and her favorite seaweed kimbap. If you will notice there’s also a tomato, and a Swiss flag which Young Woo always mention whenever she introduced herself.
