The new YG Entertainment Cafe – the SameE was opened last June 1 and located in front of the YG Entertainment building in Mapo district.
It’s the weekend and I was thinking of what to do to fight our boredom. Summer has already started and a lot of families were trying to enjoy the heat outside. While scrolling my phone, I saw a post from a friend showing that she visited the new YG Entertainment Cafe. So I thought of visiting the fan cafe since I haven’t visited one. I only remembered that I visited some cafes that appeared in Korean dramas like Caferia from Her Private life, Hotel Seine 호텔세느장 from Hotel del Luna, and About Coffee from True Beauty.
About the Cafe
The ‘the SameE’ cafe is the new YG Entertainment cafe and MD shop which is located in Hapjeong, in the district of Mapo. The cafe was also built in front of YG Entertainment holding the objective of connecting with their fans. YG said that they built the cafe so the YG artists can have a close bond with their fans. That’s why the cafe’s theme was,
Fans are the artist’s alter ego, which means as another version of oneself.
The cafe holds the first and second floor, while the basement is a shop where you can buy merchandise of YG artists like Blackpink, Winner, Ikon, Bigbang, and Treasure. There are also ‘the SameE’ merch like mugs, glass, and others.
What to order from the SameE?
The cafe offers hot and ice coffees, ade, and teas which include Espresso, Choco Latte, Cherry Ade, Wild Apple Cinnamon, and others. Aside from drinks they also serve doughnuts.
- Raspberry Donut
- Peanut Butter Donut
- The SameE Donut
- Creme Brulee Donut
- Butter Pistachio Donut
We were able to try the Raspberry, Peanut Butter, and The SameE Donut. Then we ordered Wild Apple Cinnamon and Lemon Ginger and Manuka honey for our drinks. Price ranges from 5,000 and up.
The MD Shop (B1 Floor)
The fan cafe also put an MD shop in the basement where you can buy YG artists’ merchandise including Blackpink, Winner, Ikon, Bigbang, Treasure, Sechskies, and AKMU. I love the Blackpink figure toys but I can’t afford to buy so I just look at them.
Final Musing
If there’s one thing I love in this fan cafe it’s their donut. The donut’s sizes are big and filled with yummy filling which is really different from other donuts that I have tasted. It’s not too sweet which is what I really like. I only had a mistake about the drinks that I have ordered. After eating the donuts, I can’t taste the real savor of the Lemon Ginger Manuka honey and Wild Apple Cinnamon. I should order coffee or choco drink which is a really perfect pair for donuts.
About the interior, it’s clean and spacious. They also put a big screen where you can watch some videos of the YG artists. They also follow the social distancing procedures like temperature check, hand sanitizing, and QR codes for dine-in visitors.
The fan cafe opens at 10:00 am and closes at 9:00 in the evening.

The cafe looks spacious, elegant and bright. The desserts looked pretty too! Sorry to hear about your choices with the drinks. I bet this cafe is pricey? Ganun kasi sa Manila, anything related to Kpop medyo overpriced. But this place looks top notch!
Hyejin says
The menu price starts from 5,000 won~

The place is nice, spacious, and clean! I wish I can also visit it with my family if and when we get to travel to South Korea hopefully once the pandemic is over.

I was kinda hoping you run into YG artists at SameE, but hey, that Raspberry donut is good enough for me. Nice concept.

Looking at those donuts make me uber hungry! I’m a sucker for anything raspberry or pistachio and those looks absolutely yummy. Can we petition to have SameE here in PH? 😁
Oh, and Wild Apple Cinnamon too!

That butter pistachio got me drooling! Anyways, the place has its own character though it kinda looks plain but I don’t hate it! It looks peaceful plus you get to enjoy really good food!
Hyejin says
yes uso na din ang plain cafe ngayon dito aside doon sa mga minimalist at instagrammable na cafes.

This café looks so modern, minimalist, and bright. I also like that it seems really quiet, well possibly because of safety restrictions. I’m glad that they have my favorite peanut butter donut.
