Many fans are hooked on the Korean drama True Beauty that’s why I took my free time to explore some of their filming locations. These filming locations can be your next itinerary for your Seoul trip.
It’s been a long time since I did a Korean drama filming location tour because of covid plus I got a part-time job last year which made me busy. This time I have some free time so I decided to do the True Beauty Filming location tour with my friend.
True Beauty is a Korean drama starred by Moon Ga-young, Cha Eun-woo, and Hwang In-yeop. The drama is based on a webtoon and the story is about a high school girl who has been bullied in her old school. She transferred to another school due to family issues where she mastered the art of makeup and transformed herself into a true beauty.
True Beauty Filming Locations You Must Visit
Prince Comic Shop (YN ANIMA, 와이앤아니마)
Lim Ju-Kyung and Lee Su-ho have met in this shop many times since their childhood.
This place was featured as a comic book shop in the drama but it is actually YN ANIMA (fashion shop) in real life and it is located near Anguk Station.

Ikseondong Alleys
During their girl’s day out they went to Namdo Bunsik and Comcom Arcade. All of these places can be found in Ikseondong. Ikseondong is a combination of modern and traditional shops and restaurants. In addition to that, the alleys of Ikseon are also home to Korean drama filming locations like the Flower Madang (seen in Goblin) and Saladeng (seen in Black Knight).

How to get here: Take the subway going to Jongno3-ga and take exit 4. Just cross the street and you’ll get to Ikseon-dong.
Comcom Arcade Ikseondong
The girls went to hang out here after they ate at Namdo Bunsik. This place is an indoor arcade with a retro feel and located near Hotel Seine Cafe (one of the filming locations of ‘Hotel Del Luna’). Aside from that, this filming location was also featured in the Korean drama ‘When Camelia Blooms’.
Due to the coronavirus, I didn’t try to go inside but last year summer I went to Ikseondong and saw this arcade too. There is a lot of claw machines, interactive dancing games, and other arcade games.

I would love to go to the street of Deoksung Women’s High School. Not yet a fan of True Beauty but a certified die hard fan of Goblin here. Wish to visit that place in my next SoKor travels.

Memories is worth keeping. We must value our time with collecting memories cause memories bring back but not the time spent.
